It was inevitable given the media onslaught and the rabid vitriol he was receiving from Liverpool fans and some rival clubs.
The selfish egotism and narcissism of Salah also did not help Slot.
Sadly, Liverpool are such a global brand that the owners FSG are now heavily influenced by merchandising and the media.
Some of us thought that FSG would never behave like this. However, they are ultimately driven by the bottom line = profits.
Most of the "fans" who called for Slot's head have no class and are a disgrace to Football, as well as a disgrace to Liverpool FC.
They are not real fans but part of the fake plastic family of consumers. They are part of the AI algorithm with no original ideas or thoughts of their own.
We live in disturbed, somewhat petulant times. 😒
One has to keep asking - where are all the adults?
(The Spurs fan base did not help Thomas Frank at all, although that was a very different situation.)
Slot made errors like all human beings do in their daily lives. People are lying to themselves if they think that this season was all about Slot "losing the dressing room", the training not being intense enough and the play being "too slow". That is far too simplistic and lacks seriousness. Football is a far more complex Sport than that.
Sorry to say this, but for the first time in my life I would be happy to see a Liverpool Manager fail. (Even if it is the excellent Iraola.) That is not out of spite, but it is a reaction to the mendacity of some fans, the egregious sense of entitlement, impatience and the arrogance of the club.
We are not Chel$ea or PSG. We are not a fake club powered by Petrochemicals.
Good luck to Slot. Good luck to Iraola or whoever takes the helm at Anfield. ⚽
It is not for anyone, you melt! The point that rational, sane and educated people make is that there were serious, unusual, extraordinary and once in a generation, mitigating circumstances.
Naturally, if one is illiterate then these concepts may be unfathomable. 🤨
I can’t click ‘like’ on a post about sacking this man.
Spare a thought for poor old Phil Blundell who would’ve seen us happily relegated before sacking a coach was acceptable.
I am sad but honestly not surprised.

Losing a club record 20 matches isn’t for everyone but it’s obviously for you.

Onward and upward.
