You sit with it for a moment, trying to measure the weight of it, and then it begins to spread. Through memory, through habit, through all those weekends that felt anchored by the certainty of him. That inside run, that left foot, that inevitability.

And now, suddenly, none of it belongs to the future.

End of an Era Felt Before It Was Spoken
