Liverpool’s Continued Focus on Elite Young Talent

It happens every summer.

Liverpool always attempt to sign one of the best 16-years-old’s in the country.

There are countless examples, Rio Ngumoha, Trey Nyoni, Bobby Clark or Harvey Elliott, just to name a few.

At this age-group, contracts expire and players either get to commit to scholarship deals or leave their clubs for pastures new.

This is why Liverpool target this particular age-group, and it’s why players like Erik Farkas and Joshua Abe were so sought after within the club’s own ranks this summer.

Thankfully, Julian Ward delivered a masterstroke and managed to keep both of them at the club.

Why Xavier Parker Has Become a Major Liverpool Target

But while keeping both at the club, Liverpool are also looking to do it again and bring in one of the most exciting young players in England at the moment in Xavier Parker who is yet to sign a scholarship deal at Man City.

At first glance, Parker already seems like a generational talent.
