As we enter the January window, the likelihood of Antoine Semenyo becoming a Liverpool player decreases with every single day.

The Bournemouth winger now appears to be bound for Manchester City and will likely be lining up for Pep Guardiola’s side in a few days’ time.

For Liverpool, missing out on Semenyo is going to be a blow. There’s no two ways about it. The Ghanian international is one of the best wingers in the Premier League and he’s entering his prime years.

Not only will he not be wearing the Liverpool red, but he’ll be lining up in a rival’s colours, which makes this all the more bitter.

Especially, when Liverpool desperately need someone like Semenyo, with his one vs one ability, pressing and speed to bring a bit more balance into the team.

But it’s not the end of the world. Richard Hughes has a few alternative options he could look to.

Let’s take a look at four possible players who could be on the sporting director’s radar.

Semenyo is very two-footed, and he thrives in tight spaces. His technical ability and his quick feet make him one of the trickiest wingers in the Premier League.
