I’ll start where most of us are at the moment.

Something feels off.

We’re in 2026, Arne Slot is in charge, and this is a Liverpool team that won the Premier League in his first season. That should buy you confidence. It should give you belief. But as I sit here after another laboured performance, I can’t honestly say I’ve seen a single game this season that made me think, “We’re back. That’s sustainable.”

We’re picking up results. We’re not getting beat very often. But there’s a difference between accumulating points and convincing people. Right now, we’re doing the first without the second.
