Arne Slot is fixated on adding more speed and one vs one ability to Liverpool’s attack. This makes a lot of sense but it’s not the only area of weakness the Reds’ head-coach and the club’s recruitment should be focused on in the summer.

Liverpool’s Midfield Problem Runs Deeper Than Attack

For a long time now, Liverpool have lacked intensity in their midfield. Add to that the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, and the Reds are not only missing intensity but creativity and progressive passing ability as well, especially when building out from the back.

Alexander-Arnold was able to play a role in these aspects of the game even from right-back but in his absence, Liverpool need a midfielder to take on the task.
