Liverpool Transfer Chaos: From Wirtz to Kerkez, the Window’s Already on Fire

It’s only Tuesday and Wirtz, Kerkez, Isak, Ekitike, Nunez, Robertson and Fofana are all in the mix.

Wirtz Week Signals Intent

Let’s get one thing straight. If this deal goes through as expected, nothing tops it this window. Florian Wirtz to Liverpool. Signed, sealed and delivered by Friday if reports are to be believed. The medical is booked for Thursday. The Vito van, the plane shots, the "I turned down Bayern" quotes, it’s all incoming.

Make no mistake, this one’s huge. Wirtz picked Liverpool over Manchester City and Bayern Munich. That tells you something about the project Richard Hughes and Arne Slot are building. It will be a massive dopamine hit for the fanbase when it becomes official.

And while we’re soaking that in, let’s not forget what it says: Liverpool is moving quickly, decisively, and under the radar, and they like it.

Kerkez and Papa’s TV Bombshell

Milos Kerkez, the Hungarian left-back, is all but confirmed too. Social media has done its usual work, but what blew it up was his dad. Yes, Papa Kerkez.

In a wild twist, his dad appeared with him on Serbian TV and confirmed the move live on air. He said everything’s agreed, personal terms sorted, just a few details to finalise. When your dad is hijacking interviews, declaring love for Liverpool and comparing Richard Hughes to a prophet, you know we’ve entered new territory.

But here’s the thing. Liverpool don’t like noise. They don’t do fanfare. They move in stealth. The Florian Wirtz operation, from Slot’s trip to France to house viewings, only surfaced after the fact. So you’ve got to wonder what they make of this Serbian sitcom.

Still, the expectation is clear: Kerkez will land in Blackpool today, and once he does, it's game on.

Striker Search: Dream vs Concrete

This is where things get tasty. Alexander Isak is still the dream. As Fabrizio Romano put it, that’s the big ambition. Yes, he’s injury-prone. Yes, Newcastle want silly money. But Liverpool are still in. Still trying.

We know Newcastle have eyes on some of our players, Jota included. Will there be a player-plus-cash deal? No guarantees. But there’s a sliver of something there.

If not, we hit the concrete: Hugo Ekitike. The Frankfurt striker is seen as the real, workable option. Nineteen goals, eleven assists in the Bundesliga. High xG per shot, strong in possession and rapid. Frankfurt want €100 million, but you’d expect Liverpool to negotiate.

This is no fantasy. This is the one that might actually happen.

Nunez, Robertson and Malik Watch

Darwin Nunez looks almost sure to leave. He wants Europe. Napoli are in talks, and it’s heating up. If it’s a straight cash deal, it won’t bring much from Italy. But if there's even a faint chance of a trade involving Victor Osimhen, it’s worth watching.

Andy Robertson’s situation is more delicate. He’s not decided yet, but we know he’s open to a move. It feels right with no new deal on the table and Kerkez arriving. Great servant, legend, but a dignified exit might suit all parties.

And keep an eye on Malik Fofana. If someone like Diaz goes, he could be a smart addition. Young, low wages, good numbers. Liverpool are clearly watching that space.

This window is pure madness. It’s only Tuesday, and Wirtz, Kerkez, Isak, Ekitike, Nunez, Robertson, and Fofana are all in the mix. Strap in. This could be Liverpool’s most decisive summer in years.
